The story of Danilo inn is the story of a restaurant with a long family tradition, which is today, more than successfully, continued by sister Nina and brother Gašper, the third generation of the family. Nina and Gašper took over the restaurant in 2016 and renovated it in a more modern style, while preserving the soul and essence of the old inn. The new Danilo maintains the tradition of home cooking based on local ingredients, but at the same time delivers creativity and new tastes.
In 1961 grandparents, Mimi and Danilo Kosmač have bought old inn "Pr'Tilih" ("At Tilih's") in Rateče near Škofja Loka, which had been operating since 1870. They renamed the inn "Pri Danilu ('"At Danilo's") and started a brand new story emphasized by local cuisine. Later, the restaurant was taken over by daughter Vesna and her husband Dušan and, with their work and bussiness approach, turned it into one of the best Slovenian restaurants.
