The story of Danilo inn is the story of a restaurant with a long family tradition, which is today, more than successfully, continued by sister Nina and brother Gašper, the third generation of the family. Nina and Gašper took over the restaurant in 2016 and renovated it in a more modern style, while preserving the soul and essence of the old inn. The new Danilo maintains the tradition of home cooking based on local ingredients, but at the same time delivers creativity and new tastes.

About us

A story of tradition

In 1961 grandparents, Mimi and Danilo Kosmač have bought old inn "Pr'Tilih" ("At Tilih's") in Rateče near Škofja Loka, which had been operating since 1870. They renamed the inn "Pri Danilu ('"At Danilo's") and started a brand new story emphasized by local cuisine.
